HSC Hand Chain Hoist Accessories and Precautions

Below is one of our most popular products—the HSC chain hoist. Compared to electric hoists, it’s smaller and more suitable for a wider range of applications, such as factory production lines, construction and engineering, and the energy and power industries. We offer a variety of chain hoists, including Vital, HSZ, HSC, CK, and CB.

The main components of a chain hoist include:

1. Lifting chain: Directly supports the load and requires regular inspection for wear, deformation, and cracks.

2. Upper/lower hooks: Connect the anchor point to the load. Always use the safety tab during operation and do not hang the load on the hook tip.

3. Hand chain: Manually operated. Ensure smooth pulling to prevent kinking.

4. Gear train/sprocket: Provides transmission and labor-saving functions. Maintain lubrication to prevent damage from overloading.

5. Brake: Core safety device, automatically locking to prevent falling. Unauthorized modifications are strictly prohibited and operator training is required.

6. Casing: Supports and protects the internal mechanism. Inspect for structural cracks or deformation before use.

The most important safety principles:

1.Never overload: Before use, confirm that the hoist’s rated lifting capacity exceeds the weight of the load.

2.Daily Inspection: Visually inspect the hook, chain, and brake before each use.

3.Proper Operation: Familiarize yourself with the “pull up to lift, lower down” operating instructions, especially when lowering, using a slow, controlled manner.

4.Stand in a safe area: Always ensure the operator is outside the area where the load could fall.
